Terms & Conditions

By applying to Battle of the Bands 2026, all bands agree to the following:

Equipment & Setup

Steelworks will provide the following backline equipment:

• 2 guitar amps

• 1 bass amp

• 1 set of drum shells (Drummers must bring their own drumsticks, cymbals and breakables)

• 1 lead vocal microphone

• 2 backing vocal microphones

• 1 keyboard setup

Bands are responsible for bringing:

• Their own instruments (guitars, bass, etc.)

• Any personal accessories (pedals, cables, stands if required)

• All equipment must be handled with care. Any deliberate damage may result in disqualification and liability for repair/replacement.

Applications

• Please note, submitting an application does not guarantee a place in the competition.

• Application deadline 1st May 2026

• All applicants will be notified by 8th May 2026

Performance Rules

• Each band will be allocated a set performance time (to be confirmed prior to the event).

• Bands must be ready to perform at their scheduled time.

• Set-up and pack-down time will be strictly limited to ensure a smooth-running event.

• Exceeding time limits may result in points deduction or performance being cut short

• Bands may perform original music and/or covers unless otherwise specified.

• Performances must be suitable for a general audience including under 18s - so please no swearing

• Explicit content is not permitted and will lead to immediate disqualification

Media & Promotion

By entering, bands grant permission for the event organisers to:

• Record video/audio of performances

• Take photographs

• Use band names, images, and recordings for promotional purposes

Judging & Results

• Judges’ decisions are final and cannot be appealed.

• Judging criteria may include musicality, stage presence, originality, and audience engagement.
